LOCAL CHEVY DEALER STEPS UP TO BAT THROUGH SUCCESSFUL YOUTH BASEBALL PROGRAM

WILLIS CHEVROLET-BUICK-PONTIAC  Forges Season-long Partnership to Aid Smyrna-Clayton Little League

(Smyrna, DE) (April 3, 2010) – In the spirit of community collaboration and teamwork taught through youth sports, WILLIS CHEVROLET-BUICK-PONTIAC is supporting Smyrna-Clayton Little League through the Chevy Youth Baseball program. This sponsorship will include both monetary and equipment donations during the 2010 youth baseball season.


Now in its fourth year, Chevy Youth Baseball is a grassroots initiative that establishes a positive relationship between local dealers and the communities they serve. WILLIS CHEVROLET-BUICK-PONTIAC is sponsoring Smyrna-Clayton Little League as a part of Chevrolet’s nation-wide commitment to support youth sports, one community at a time. Over the course of the season, WILLIS CHEVROLET-BUICK-PONTIAC will donate equipment to the league which includes: equipment bags, baseballs, catcher’s gear, batting helmets, ball buckets, umpire’s equipment, scorebooks, and first aid kits.

 

Each sponsored league will take part in “The Chevy Youth Baseball Double Play Giveaway” which is a fundraiser that can earn each league up to $10,000! “The Chevy Youth Baseball Double Play Giveaway” features a grand prize of a 2010 Chevy Equinox, in addition to other great prizes such as HD Televisions, courtesy of the local Chevrolet dealership.

Also, thanks to WILLIS CHEVROLET-BUICK-PONTIAC and other participating area Chevrolet dealers, league participants will have a chance to attend Chevy Youth Baseball Instructional Clinics in their area.

The 2010 program will provide assistance to an impressive 200 leagues in the Northeastern region and Chevrolet dealers will contribute over $400,000 in monetary and equipment donations.

Isaac Willis presents a $500 check to Smyrna Clayton Little League. Accepting the donation are Major League players, John Barkley & Ryan Seymour. Equipment Director, Tim Crowley was on hand to accept lots of equipment that Willis GM Auto Mall also donated to the league.
